Family Fun in Asakusa: Why Kids US.LAND Is a Hidden Gem for Traveling Families

未分類

When people think of Asakusa, they usually imagine the iconic Senso-ji Temple, traditional sweets, and rows of souvenir shops. But what if your little ones suddenly need to burn off some energy between sightseeing? Don’t worry—there’s a perfect indoor playground just around the corner: Kids US.LAND Asakusa.

What Is Kids US.LAND?

Kids US.LAND is an indoor play area designed for children (and parents!) to have fun together. Think of it as a cozy, weather-proof amusement park—complete with ball pits, slides, trampolines, arcade games, and even karaoke rooms. It’s open year-round, which makes it a lifesaver on rainy or super-hot Tokyo days. There are even massage chairs for the parents!

You can find its usually inside shopping malls or large retail centers. Each branch offers a variety of play areas, from ball pits and slides to arcade games and even karaoke rooms!

It’s designed to be a fun and safe place where kids can play freely, rain or shine, while parents relax nearby. The great thing is that your membership card can be used at any Kids US.LAND branch nationwide, so it’s perfect for families who travel or move around Japan.

It’s similar to BerBer Park, another local indoor playground chain, but more down-to-earth and affordable. Plus, there are more things for kids to play with compared to BerBer Park.

Why It’s Perfect for Travelers

1. It’s right in Asakusa!
Located inside the ROX shopping complex, Kids US.LAND is just a 5-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple. You can pop in after sightseeing or shopping—it’s incredibly convenient.

2. Affordable and flexible.
You can choose between a short-time pass or an all-day pass, depending on your schedule. Kids can play freely while parents relax in massage chairs or enjoy the Wi-Fi. (Yes, they’ve thought of everything.)

3. A safe space for kids to just be kids.
After days of temples, museums, and polite “please don’t touch” signs, Kids US.LAND gives your children a chance to move, climb, and laugh as loud as they want. The play area is just the right size—not too big, not too small—so parents can easily keep an eye on their kids. I was able to manage both my 5-year-old and 3-year-old on my own without any trouble. Perhaps because of this, I noticed quite a few solo dads and grandparents visiting as well.

The Asakusa branch of Kids US.LAND tends to attract a mix of local families and international visitors, thanks to its convenient location near Senso-ji Temple. You’ll often see foreign parents and children enjoying the play areas together.

To make it easier for international guests, some signs and instructions are provided in English, helping visitors understand the rules and enjoy the facilities safely.
